When you think Certified used, think GM.  When you think GM, think Chevrolet.  When you think Chevrolet, think Tom Bannen.

Carroll Hebert, 2007 Chevrolet Impala sold by Phillip Beasley

Carroll Hebert recently relocated to Nashville and thus was not familiar with car dealerships in the area.  As a well informed consumer, she did her research on the internet, looking at customer service ratings and better business bureau complaints.  Carroll was very pleased with Tom Bannen Chevrolet’s rankings (0 Better Business Bureau complaints and the highest customer satisfaction index in the Nashville zone).  Upon meeting Phillip Beasley on the lot, he introduced Carroll to Tom Bannen’s GM Certified program.  The just announced revisions to the GM certified program adds an additional 12 months, 12K miles of bumper to bumper factory warranty while providing customer’s various assurances about the condition of the vehicle.  Naturally, Carroll fell in love with the GM Certified 2007 Chevrolet Impala LTZ.
Tom Bannen Chevrolet would like to thank Carroll for giving us an opportunity to earn her business and welcome her to the Tom Bannen family.

Marla Vanover, 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe sold by Chris Smith

Marla Vanover had inquired over the internet in regards to 2008 Chevy Tahoe.  Marla, similar to most of our female internet buyers, was shopping over the internet not just for an automobile, but for convenience and a no hassle shopping experience.  Welcome to Tom Bannen Chevrolet.
She was very happy in regards to our response from our internet department (that’s me) and response from her salesperson Christopher Smith.  With GM/Chevrolet Employee Pricing the buying process is simple.  So all she needed to find was a dealership that is fair and honest with its customers.  Welcome to Tom Bannen Chevrolet.
Robert (Marla’s husband), active duty in the US Army for the last 18 years, was looking for the right vehicle to absorb some of the negative equity they had in their Dodge Ram.  Robert, Tom Bannen Chevrolet thanks you for your service to the United States of America.
For Marla, being a stay at home mom is a full time job.  And anyone can see how shopping for a car can be hectic and stressful.  Marla even visited Corlew Chevrolet and Jim Reed Chevrolet but did not receive the outstanding, stress free treatment like at Tom Bannen Chevrolet.

Mark Weaver, 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche sold by Dusty McIntyre

I have a quick question for you.  How many Chevrolet dealerships do you have to drive by on the trip from Chattanooga, TN to Nashville, TN?  I will give you the answer after I get five legitimate guesses/posts in the comments section.  But you are probably already asking yourself why anyone would drive from Chattanooga to buy a Chevrolet at Tom Bannen.  Easy, our deals really are just that damn good.  It also helps that Mark Weaver had two trade-ins, and since Tom Bannen does better on trade appraisals than probably any dealership in the state, two trades is practically double dipping.  And since Tom Bannen has the best Chevrolet selection in the state of Tennessee, where would you tell someone to go for the Avalanche they want?  Mark made the right choice, and made the two hour drive.
There is one other interesting point I wanted to bring up.  An extremely important part of the automobile transaction is financing.  If you have good credit, we have awesome rates at great terms.  Tom Bannen Chevrolet’s finance department will work hard to get the payment to fit your budget.  Give us a chance, we will even beat your credit union’s rates.

Rick Wagoner, CEO of General Motors, Interview with Charlie Rose of PBS

As stated very clearly on the “About” section of this web site, part of the purpose of www.mychevyexperience.com is to help Americans understand the critical importance of American owned vehicle manufacturing to the gross national product of the United States and health of the United States’ economy.  I am trying to think of other countries that are disloyal to their own industries, but still economically vibrant (any help would be appreciated in the comments section, after all this is an interactive web site).  I know it isn’t the clearest picture, but I think it would be great if people had a better understanding of how their wallet choices impacted not only our economy, but supported other economies.

I also wanted to include an interview with Rick Wagoner, CEO of General Motors with Charlie Rose of PBS.  It is a little lengthy, but very interesting.  Consider it the “2008 State of General Motors” address:
http://www.charlierose.com/shows/2008/08/18/1/part-one-of-a-look-at-gm-with-ceo-rick-wagoner

Remember that every individual has the opportunity to make a difference in our economy.  Housing bust, market crash, lower wages …. each person can improve our economic condition by supporting our American economy through the purchase of American manufactured vehicles!  Show your loyalty to America by considering purchasing (even if just a test drive) your next vehicle from an American owned manufacturer such as Chevrolet.

David Brown, 2008 Chevrolet Silverado sold by Jeff Grossman

As some of you may know, I don’t actually sell vehicles directly so much any more.  But it was great to see one of my very own repeat customers, David Brown, return to Tom Bannen Chevrolet.  I forgot to ask the exact number, but I believe this is the third vehicle David Brown has purchased from Tom Bannen.  Mr. Brown is happily married, with a couple of beautiful German Sheppards.  My wife and I are dog people, so I always enjoy talking to people about family pets and sharing pictures.  Hopefully David will send me a couple of pictures I can post of his dogs enjoying their new Silverado truck bed.  That aside, Mr. Brown is in the refrigeration business, so it is obviously important that the air conditioning blow extra cold.  He also wanted a full size crew cab Silverado instead of the Colorado I originally sold him.

Chevrolet Employee Pricing for Everyone at Tom Bannen

There’s never been a better time to buy a new Chevrolet than the present.  General Motors has extended its Employee Discount for Everyone in celebration of 100 years in business (General Motors was founded on September 16, 1908 in Flint, Michigan, as a holding company for Buick, then controlled by William C. Durant).  The Employee Discount for Everyone offer expires Sept 30, 2008.

So what is Employee Pricing?  This is exactly the same price factory employees get if they choose to purchase the vehicle they help assemble.  Yes, you still get to keep the rebates being offered!  The only time Chevrolet has done this before was in 2005 in the month of June.  Now Chevrolet has brought the offer back and it is even better than it was in 2005!

Robert and Ann Meyer, 2008 Chevrolet Colorado sold by Phillip Beasley

null

This is the third vehicle Robert and Ann Meyer have purchased from Tom Bannen Chevrolet.  We love repeat customers (mostly because it lets us know that customers appreciate the way Tom Bannen does business).  After they completed the paper work on their new 2008 Colorado, Mr. & Ms. Meyer informed Phillip Beasley, their sales consultant, that this would be their last vehicle purchase.  Phillip simply smiled and said “you made that same statement when you purchased your Impala.”  Hey, with Chevrolet Employee Pricing for everyone, the deal was too good to pass up!

Buddy & Doris McLean, 2008 Chevrolet Silverado sold by Shane Turner

Buddy McLean currently owns a 2001 convertible Corvette, manual transmission of course.  He also owns a successful lawn care company, named appropriately Buddy’s LawnCare.  Got to pay for those Corvettes somehow.  While happy with his 2003 Silverado, the depreciation cycle had come to an end.  So Employee Price for Everyone and a deduction on the balance sheet equals an unbelievable deal.
We appreciate Buddy & Doris, now both die hard Chevrolet fans.  It took Doris a little while to come around, but after two great experiences with the Corvette and Silverado, she decided a little sporty Cobalt with a manual transmission was appropriate.  And she loves it!  Buddy & Doris, Chevrolet appreciates you and your hard work as much as you appreciate Chevrolet.
